1. The boys went camping with the scouts again! Yes, it is stinkin' hot, but they are at the Ritz Carlton of camp grounds. If it gets really bad, they can sleep in the bathrooms that are so clean you could eat off their floors!! I am referring, of course, to Ft. Wilderness at Disney!!
2. That dumb lizard that we call "no tail" was caught Friday. Hubby walked him outside and put him in the palm tree. Wouldn't you know it... that dumb thing ran right down the tree and back into the porch. (guess the eatin' is good in there or something!) In our attempts to get him out, he ran ... into the house. OH STINK!!!!!! Now he is hiding somewhere under the sofa in the family room. AHHH!!!
3. My girl is deperately trying to stop sucking her thumb. We have given her the final chance to quit by August 4th! Why that date? Because Daddy has another business trip to Chicago, and we all know what is in Chicago. American Girl Store! This happens to be a trip that we may ALL be able to go with him. Keep your fingers crossed. I know she is trying hard!
4. We had a really quiet and laid back Sunday! Haven't done that in a while! SO you see not a very exciting weekend! I am so thankful for those!! :o)

Could it be? Nah... There is no such thing. But it could be possible? Nope... not possible! Although we may have stumbled onto something new?
"Bloggy-too-much" syndrome?
Seriously, I have no idea what I did to my wrist, but I can't move it or put pressure on it. It hurts like the dickens to pick up monkey. So in the spirit of trying to save myself a co-pay and opening up a can of worms at the Dr.s, I am trying to immobilize it and let it heal on it's own and see what happens. Whats the worse that can happen, it will stay sore and I will have to bite the bullet and go to the Dr. Until then ,watch out.... bloggy-too-much syndrome may be the cause! :o) It is mighty contagious!! :o)
Monkey is so sad about this too. Poor girl is just torn up about it! (actually, I think I just told her "NO"! God forbid!)

This was taken today at 5:30 pm in the shade of my back patio! What is up with this? This doesn't even factor in the humidity. That would put the temp well over 110! We should get a "cool" down by the end of the week, so until then we will stay indoors, drink lots of water, swim in the morning, and thank the LORD for our A/C!Here are some easy and cheap ways to help beat the heat from ThriftyFUN !

I trust everyone had a great Father's day!
We had a very laid back one here! Nothing super special, but it made him happy and that is all that matters! We started off the day with him blowing up Monkey's new swimming pool we bought her for the back yard to beat the summer heat! (10am and it was already 90 degrees! wheew!) Hey what else would he do on Father's day than "father" things! The smile on her face always makes it all worth it! After we ran a few errands, we had dinner at Texas Roadhouse... yeehaw!! Hubby really wanted a steak so ,voila!!
We got him a backyard golf net so he can practice his swing! He will be a pro in no time! (hopefully he won't ask me to go to any more golf tournaments with him! :o)

2. All three kids are sick at the same time. One has it coming out the top, one has it coming out the backside, and one has a fever/headache! Ah, containment, lysol, and hand sanitizer!!!
3. The grass in Florida grows at mock speed in the summer!! I think our lawn mower is dying!
4. My aunt passed away on Friday morning. She is a child of the KING so we rejoice with her. Considering all her health issues, she has lived a LONG and good life! My mom and her sisters are pretty broken, but my mom knows she has been restored and is worshipping the Lord right now!!
5. We still have a tail -less lizard stuck on our back porch. It has now become a topic of conversation each day! (each time we try and get him out... he runs where we can't get him) "How is our tail- less wonder doing?" Oh, I hope the dog doesn't get em!!
6. Watching my hubby fight with the venitian blind was quite amusing! I felt he was getting so frustrated, but he was so cute too!
7. I found out that if you leave the bathroom a mess long enough, someone will get tired of it and clean it for you! Thanks hubby!
8. I also found out that I can get very distracted and forget to move hubby's father's day gift from the van into the hiding place. Yup, he found it on Sat. Oh well... Guess I can ask him to carry it in now! :o) Wanna know what he did this father's day? Here is a clue!!

Okay, so it is almost my blogiversary! I can't believe it has been a year since I started this blog! I have learned a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot, and reflected a lot!! I have gained a lot too! Friends, knowledge, frugalness ( is that a word?) and support!! I started it just to simply keep my out of town family and friends up to date on our comings and goings, but it has proven to be so much more!

As I told you before... my girlfriend scored a condo on the beach and invited us out last minute to soak up some sun and ride the waves!! It was also her daughter's b-day so we celebrated while we were there. We arrived early and stayed late! This was monkey's first actual trip to the beach to play and experience! (last time we were there, it was SUPER cold and the kids were bundled from head to toe!) We really need to do the beach more often and take advantage of the free entertainment living so close. Yes, it is a pain to pack the car for the day, get sand in every crack and crevasse, get sand all over the car, and live with the dry chaffed feeling that salt water gives you-- but one of God's best creations is free and fun!!

I realize this post is getting long, but I couldn't help including this sweet video of her first time in the water!! (turn off music player before playing video)
Monkey just dove right into the sand. She loved it! She loved the water more. Every time I would turn around, oh... there she goes back to the water!! One awesome thing that happened was there was a school of fish right beside us that were jumping like crazy out of the water. Where there is fish, there are pelicans! They were dive bombing the fish right around us. We decided to back it up to the shore till they went away! (dive bombing pelicans can also be a tell tale sign that underwater preditors could be lurking around the fish schools. shhh... sharks!) It was so awesome.... they dove in unison! 
After we all got "extra crispy" and worn out, we went out for dinner at a cute little waterfront place to celebrate a special birthday!!

1. This weekend I learned that when the baby isn't asleep 40 minutes into naptime, you should probably go check on her! Checking on her led to complete horror!! "Brown" , and I don't mean chocolate, EVERYWHERE!!!! I am aware that she takes off her diaper in her bed if given access, however I neglected to check the skirt I put on her. Yup, easy access! Instant bath, clean sheets, clean crib, clean wall , and clean blankies!! Ah, just what I wanted to do on a Saturday!!! :o)
2. A baby monitor on the fritz WILL act up NOT during the day, but in the middle of the night. We had no choice but to unplug the thing until hubby figures it out! Monkey was sick too, so I made hubby sleep in the room with her because I couldn't hear her via monitor!! Good hubby!!!
3. This was the last weekend for Star Wars Weekend at the Hollywood Studios, so daddy and my boy went down to meet and greet for a couple of hours. I don't think you can ever grow out of being a Star Wars fan!!
4. The kids finished up week at Animal Kingdom camp down at Disney! Boy did they have fun! My girl was so exhausted she asked me NOT to go to gymnastics! I think that meant they did their job!! :o) The kids both had disposable cameras with them, so I will post pics when I get them developed. Considering I have cameras to be developed from 1 year ago, if may be a while... I will work on that.
5. Well, the Orlando Magic lost the NBA finals! Lakers are just a better team-- a better team in the playing side, but our Dwight Howard is a great role model and stand up guy!! Thanks for being such a great person for our kids to look up to!!! We are still the Eastern Conference champions and they can't take that away from us!! :o)
6. Sunday we made a trip to the beach. My girlfriend scored a condo there and invited us out for her daughter's birthday. This was monkey's first trip to the beach to actually play! (last time was too cold and we were bundled from head to toe) Pics to follow!!
7. If you send your husband down to the beach with the kids while the baby is napping, you HAVE tattoo "reapply the sunscreen" on the kids backside so he remembers! Poor kids are crispy!! It is all good!! Maybe the kids will remind him next time if they don't' wanna get burnt!!
