Princess had an opportunity to take part in a flash mob in our city!  It was choreographed and planned by friends of ours, so when the plea for participants went out.. .of course Princess jumped right on board!  Me... not so much!  I will leave the drama, dancing, and singing to her!  You are welcome!!!!

They first did it at a local shopping area and then went to our little down town area to do it for all the unsuspecting bikers, shoppers, and Sunday strollers!!!  It really went well!!!  They all did a great job!! If you are looking for princess , she is in the center then gravitates to the right side!
Enjoy !!!!!!!

Most of you know that Princess was cast in the production of "Christmas Carol" starring Dennis Neal for the holidays this year!  Opening night was on Friday!  She is having a such a great time and is loving every minute!  The rehearsals were rigorous, but so worth the opportunity!  Just wanted to share some pics!  If you are local... RUN to see the show!  You can order tickets here!

Carolling prior to opening night as a part of our town's "light up night"!!

Hanging out waiting for the show to start!
A big thanks to Kristen Wheeler for the awesome show pictures!!!  Check her out!
One weekend of shows down, 2 more to go!!!  ( I think it is 9 shows left!)
Bah Humbug!!!!  :o)

If you are one of my FB friends, then this post will bore you! (since I have already posted most of these pics!)   This past week we have been busy!!  Fun busy, but busy!  On Thursday... we skipped school!  Yes, we did!!!  Princess was given the opportunity to be in the WDW Christmas Day Parade that is televised nationwide on ABC on Christmas morning!  She arrived for the filming and was given the total top to bottom princess treatment!  First a bibidi bobidi boutique makeover!!!

Taking some pics with her adoring fans!!!
Little sister is the biggest!
After her makeover was complete... it was parade time!  She is riding the castle float that hosts a lot of little princesses that comes at the end of the Disney princess' segment!  The talent that sings while she is riding the float is Amber Riley from GLEE!!!
 Waving to her subjects!  :o)

One of my personal favorites!
After running the floats down main street USA for several times, plastering a smile on her face, and perfecting the princess wave... my princess was really tired.  Grateful , but tired!!!  They then took the girls to the Magic Kingdom rose garden for a photo shoot!

Be sure to watch ABC on Christmas morning for my princess-- oh and daddy's name will be in the credits!!  So proud of them both!

The curtain has closed on our beloved show!!!  Princess had a BLAST!!!  The was such an awesome experience for her!  She made a lot of great friend and learned some things too!!!  The reviews for the show were outstanding!!!  For a little community theatre's self produced show...  many are saying was as good if not better than some of the traveling broadway series shows!!!  WOW!!

The last show was bitter sweet!!  No more long rehearsals, but no more Joseph!! We could tell it had overtaken our lives when I heard the baby singing in the other room, "poor poor Joseph , what ya gonna do?"  It touched ALL of us!!!  I am so grateful for a great experience for her!!!  After the final curtain call, we headed off for an ALL cast party!!  Good times!!  Enjoy the pics!!!!

Someone order a "technicolor" rainbow for our cast party?

Thanks again to the entire cast and crew for all your hard work!!!
It was a pleasure being a part of it with you!!!!

23 April, 2010

I mentioned a couple of months ago that princess auditioned and was picked to be in the local theaters first self produced show called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!!  The whole cast has been working super hard and long hours!!  They are all volunteers and have put their heart and soul into making this an awesome first run at the theater!!!  Princess... comes home each night and goes over the music and does her motions.  She is so cute and so passionate about the show!!!
Here she is larger than life!!  What a drama queen!!!  The  local newspaper did an article on the show and stated how impressed everyone was with the cast of kids!!!  There are 23 of them split into 2 teams so 11 and 12 perform on alternating nights!!
The directors and the entire tech crew have been awesome!!!  The kids choir director and the kids music director are FABULOUS with the kids.  They threw a big bowling party before rehearsals started so the kids could get to know each other and the directors.  The guy who is playing Joseph even came to "connect" with the kids!!  I swear he looks just like Donny Osmond in the DVD version.   They teach them techniques by using games!!!  I am just loving  this whole experience for her.  Granted the rehearsal schedule was grueling... but I think it will be worth it.  We will see if this has given her the same acting bug as her dad had growing up!

Tonight is opening night!!!  Good luck drama diva!!!  I love you!!!!  You GO GIRL!!!!

Here is the Disney 365 segment that the kids just filmed!

You can check out the pics and description from HERE!!

This is the directors cut, so it is grainy and has the numbers scrolling, but you can see the finished product airing NOW on the Disney Channel! We saw it around 7 ish in the evening on Sunday!!

My boy is the one you can see the most. He is the boy playing the video game right between and directly to the right of Alyson Stoner and Mikey while they are talking. Then he is right beside Mikey in the closing "bye" shot! Princess is beside Alyson when she says "wonder if I can beat the Jonas Bros." and in front of her brother during the last scene! Daddy even got in on the fun in the closing scene too. He is directly behind my boy!!

It was so much fun watching them watch themselves!
We are so blessed to be able to take advantage of these opportunities!!
Have a great week!!

18 November, 2009

The kids were given another wonderful opportunity to be filmed for Disney's 365 segment that airs on the Disney Channel!!  This time they didn't have to dance there little legs off.  They had to stand there and play wii and nintendo ds games for 2 hours.  They were advertising the new Phineas and Ferb and Toy Story Games!!  Gee... it is a hard life! The host , MIKEY, was back with special guest ALYSON STONER.  She is the voice of Isabella on P&F and is from Camp Rock!!  I am 100% convinced you won't have any trouble seeing them this time!  It was a much smaller group!  I will let you know when it is airing!

After the shoot, the kids were hanging out waiting for autographs from Alyson Stoner.  She was so sweet  to stick around and sign autographs!!  Monkey was IN LOVE with the host of Disney 365, Mikey!  She followed him around the set and begged him to pick her up!  He was equally in love!!  They had a great time together!!  (check out the pics!)  Other than being obsessed with Mikey, Monkey was in awe of "rella's" castle!!  She kept gasping every time she saw it!

When we were all done, we were allowed to spend the rest of the night at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom!!  What a great night!!  Christmas has officially started in our house!!  Lots of christmas lights, hot cocoa and cookies, snow, and Santa ushering in the season!!

Enjoy the pics!!

So I told you I was going to the U2 concert!!  WOW!!  They can really put on a show!  For not really knowing much about their music other than a view recognizable songs, It was great!  They are great showmen!!  Their set was killer.  Of course techy hubby was in HEAVEN!!

We ran into traffic on the way there- of course- but made it in plenty of time.  We couldn't find our seats at first.  We had "Club seats" ... which at the time we had no idea what that meant.  We finally found them!  They were behind a somewhat obsure door that led us into an A/C lobby with food, fun, couches, viewing booths etc.  COOL!!  We went out into the stadium to our seats to watch the concert , but then could go in and get some cool air, grab a bite, and relax on a sofa for a while if we needed.  Our seats were nice coushy ones too. --not regular stadium seats.  It was really a great experience.
Aside from A LOT of drunk and high people around us... we did really enjoy the show!

The place was packed out!!

This is a zoomed in shot of the digital 360 video wall.  Bono is sitting at the base of the revolving bridge!

Little Bono and Big Bono!

That video wall was crazy cool!

The 360 video wall opened up and come down making a huge cone of techno. genius!!
Bono is at the end of the bridge!
We left just as he was starting his encore!!  We could hear the encore the whole way to the car( 1/2 mile away!) , so we didn't miss a thing!  Part of his encore was "amazing grace"!!  So awesome!!   Heard the whole concert and didn't get stuck in ANY traffic!!  Sweet!!

We learned from this experience:
Don't wear nice clothes-- you may get pucked on! (not us thankfully!)
Leave an hour earlier to get to the concert of the year or you may be late!
Not all employees at the stadium know what they are talking about when asked where we go!
If you don't know the words... sing anyway... everyone is too drunk to know!
Don't get general admission seating-- you won't be able to pee, sit, eat, or breath for at least 3-6 hours!
WE NEED A NEW CAMERA!
Enjoy the pics!!
