Here are just a few of cute shots to share!
What more could a girl need for running errands!?

She is trying to get a jump on the job search!

The outcome of her "job search?" " You want fries with that?"

I walked into her bedroom and this is what I found.

Her sister was having just a little bit of fun with her!!

Swimming lessons that is!!! Yup, Monkey started swimming lessons this morning! Well, it is more like infant swim survival! A wonderful woman from my church has been doing it for over 30 years infants - adults. Now she does it out of her home! She is SO patient, SO gentle, and just LOVES these kids to death!! She whispers in their ears, sings to them, kisses their foreheads, and then after a bit scoops them up and hugs/loves on them!! The Lord has given her such a sweet gift to help us protect our gifts from Him!

I didn't do infant swim with my older two when they were little, but these days the pools are everywhere, the lakes are unguarded, and frankly if I am honest... life is so crazy.... I fear that I may lose focus! I want Monkey to be prepared if God forbid something would happen! Since we have the older two we are always at the pool or at a friends house with a pool! This is by no means a substitute for parental supervision, just another precaution!!
Monkey was not happy when she got in the pool with Ms Ginny! Like Ms. Ginny says... at 15 mo. old... she isn't afraid of the water, she is just mad she can't be with mamma! That is why this is a great time to get them acclimated to the water! Monkey kept reaching for me each time she would come out of the water, but after a couple of times she finally relied on Ms. Ginny and hugged her for security! She cried the whole 10 minutes, but actually it didn't phase me. I felt like I should be on the edge of my seat or sitting with tears in my eyes. My baby needed me, but... if I keep in perspective.... 10 minutes of screaming is better than a lifetime of NOT hearing that precious scream ever again! Ms. Ginny says she will be an "easy one"!! I hope without the screaming!! At the end of the lessons, I will video and post it!! If you are local and need lessons-- I highly recommend Ms. Ginny!! Swimming for Life School

This is Ms. Ginny telling Monkey that she is going fall in and roll over to breathe!

1. Monkey has decided that her pacifier would taste so much better if she dips, splashes, and swirls it around in the DOG WATER before putting it in her mouth! YUCK!

2. Watch out for falling lizards! I was driving out of the neighborhood and was rather freaked out when a rather large lizard just plopped on my windshield. As it hung on for dear life, it looked at me with such "holy crap how did I get here" in his eyes!! Poor thing! Here is a pic. from my cell phone!! It eventually lost it's grip as I sped up and became "superlizard" flying through the air. Rather comical. I have had birds poop on my windshield and bugs splat on my windshield , but this was a new one!
3. The kids had a birthday party on Sat at my LEAST favorite place in the world of Children!! Chuck -e -Cheese! Blah... I feel like I need a shower when I come out of there! Maybe a power washer would do the trick! In the spirit of friendship and birthdays, we went! We survived with a 15 month old needing therapy, Chucky IS pretty scary, and two kids covered from head to toe in sanitizer!!

4. Went to the Salvation Army thrift store to add some things to our summer wardrobe! SCORE! I got some great stuff!! I love the S.A.!! I love when people see us decked out in our name brand items!! I just smirk, cuz I know how much they paid and how much I didn't pay!! :o)

5. We has some friends in town from PA for the annual Cheerleading Worlds Comp. at Disney! They are coaches of a fabulous team! They are favored this year to win! It was great to see them. GO FCA Gems!!

1. I didn't realize my dog could jump REALLY high. She bolted out the back door after a duck while my son attempted to hook her up to her chain. The duck took off and up went the dog. No she didn't get it, but it was close! Guess we should re-think the height of any fence we may want to build!

2. If you read the directions wrong on a box of soft pretzels, you will overcook it and cause a nasty stench in your kitchen! Not to mention a soft pretzel that isn't so soft and a plastic plate with a hole in it!

3. I am convinced that Monkey's cough isn't allergies or asthma. At least this week anyway! Her green snot and fever are back! Off to the dr. again on Monday!

4. Kids got their report cards on Friday! They both did amazing! I am going to be broke if they keep this up!! (they get a dollar for each "A" and 50 cents for each "B") FCAT grades will come back for my boy next month!

5. The boys went camping for the weekend: $20.00, My girl spent the night at grandma's: $0.00, monkey went to bed: some Tylenol and cough medicine, a night alone -the tv, me, and a cup of tea.... PRICELESS!!

6. Monkey is now signed up for infant swim survival ! She starts April 27th for two weeks! This should be interesting! We found a fabulous lady from our church who has taught swim for over 30 years! She is so sweet and just loves these little ones to death. Yes, monkey is only 15 month old, but this is the best time. The tears at this point aren't because they are afraid of the water, but because they are being separated from mom! This is opportune time in their life to start cultivating a love and respect for the water!

7. We went down to our annual Bloom and Grow Festival downtown! The Shriner's had a camel there. The kids decided they HAD to "get a kiss from the camel"! Picture mom, me, cringing and ready to lunge into action as this huge camel head came at my children's faces! They survived!! (so did I!) We also got a new set of lady bugs! Yes, real lady bugs! This year I am pleading and threatening that they NOT be let loose in my house! :o) They are staying on the back porch in the butterfly house or else!! Now, I am forced to go buy raisins and Gatorade otherwise, I will be known as the lady bug killer! Sorry, monkey, gotta borrow your raisins!

17 April, 2009

Monkey came into my room carrying a chair from her doll house! I about lost it when I saw what she was trying to do with it!! (Sorry about it being dark... it was very stormy... hence the tornado coverage on the TV you hear in the back ground.)

I can't believe we actually went out! NO kids in tow... NO diaper bag to lug around.... I am almost in tears!!! *sob* *sob*

Where of where did you go, you ask! Well, my hubby works with a guy whose wife is a fabulous stand- up comic!! Her name is Maryellen Hooper! (you can check out her website here) She has been on Jay Leno, Comedy Central, and was named Best female stand-up!! Mix 105.1 was hosting an event called Gigglepalooza that was headlining hubby's friend's wife!!! This was an all night laugh fest!! That is just what I needed!! Hubby's friend got us tickets to go and sit right up front! COOL!! Until I realized that this event was also for the purpose of making a DVD and cable show! Yes, we were going to be taped for the show/dvd.... and oh, don't forget that wonderful friend sat us right up front! The MC for the night was Mix105.1's own Scott and Erica!

All three acts were hilarious! It has been a while since I have laughed that hard! I highly recommend it!! They were all three actually pretty tame. Sometimes when you think of comics, you think rude and crude humor!! Not tonight!! It was pretty clean and absolutely hilarious! It was also very amusing listing to Maryellen talk about her husband when you KNOW who "he" is!! If you get a chance to hear Maryellen Hooper, don't miss it! She has a couple of cd's out that you can purchase! As far as the DVD of the show we were at, I will have to get back to you on that one. I imagine it will be called gigglepalooza?!

"Nope, no one is going to take my water while I sleep,
I will make sure of it!"
When I walked in to check on Monkey during her nap, this precious site is what I saw! I let her take her water to her nap with her today because she still has that terrible cough. She was dead asleep and clutching to her water!! :o)

We were back to the Dr. for her cough today. They say it is still a viral cough, allergies, or acute asthma! Pretty wide range-- I know what I knew before I took her. At least now we have a plan of action to try some different things to see what works. That should tell us what this cough actually is. I also have some meds. I can give her since the FDA pulled every thing else!! (we could all use some sleep!)

Enjoy your WW! (here and here for more!)

To end our weekend, we had our traditional Easter egg hunt at home to find our Easter Baskets! The kids don't believe in the Easter bunny, so we make it fun with a big Easter hunt with clues on each egg to lead them to the next egg-- finally sending them to find their Easter baskets!! They LOVE this!! I usually don't do much candy in their baskets either! We get them "a gift" or two. They get enough candy at every other hunt they go to!

Found it!!

We got Monkey some of the Crayola Beginnings Crayons! She is a little budding artist!! And of course the kids all got the staple of Easter Baskets, the epitome of pure sugar, the bounce of the walls treat--- PEEPS!

After we went through our baskets, it was off to Grandmother's house we go!! Grammy made a bunny carrot cake for the kids to all decorate! How cute!! They loved it and did a great job! Then they had an egg hunt in the back yard!! So much fun.... Thanks grammy and Pappy!!

Spring Fling

Gettin' ready to go!!

"We are going where?"

The first stop on our Easter weekend was to the Spring Fling! They had bounce houses, snow cones, egg hunts, face painting and much more!! The was held at our old church. It was really great to go back and see all our dear friends!! Love ya guys! Each kid had their own Easter egg hunt!

They had a little area just for the little ones that Monkey had a blast in!!

Her favorite was the slide!

They also had a fun little petting zoo ! Monkey was very amused by the big piggy! See daddy putting his foot out to block monkey from eating the "chocolate candy" aka piggy poop!!

She also enjoyed talking to Dominic the donkey!

After we got home from the spring fling it was off to church! My girl is on the worship team for the kids and they had to wear their best Easter dress for their performance!

She was very poofy!! It was a fabulous service! I took part in the service by participating in "cardboard testimonies" ! Wow, it was really moving to watch all the changed lives gather on the stage. One right after the other! Standing up there watching the congregation crying with joy over what the Lord was doing, was so amazing! If I can get a copy of the video of our service, I will post it! If you have no idea what "cardboard testimonies" are , you can look it up on YOUTUBE. There are several!
