I am sure a lot if not all of you have been impacted in some way by this economy! You may have lost a job, been in danger of losing a job, had to cut out some things from your life, made sacrifices or even had some bills go unpaid! This is brutal. I see it all around me and it is really very depressing. I watch stories on shows like Oprah that showcased some families that REALLY have it bad! I don't want to belittle their circumstances by whining about mine. I watch my family and friends lose jobs, lose cars, lose their hope! I also watch these big money hungry insurance companies and corporations go after the very people who keep them in business for money. No consideration for their consumers after more often than not, they are the ones that put the consumers into all this trouble in the first place.

We are doing okay! Sure -we are making some cuts, sacrificing, making changes in spending habits, and praying daily that my hubby still has a job to go to. We do live in a universe of the unknown.

--It is unknown if our schools will lose enough funding to need to shut down. Where would the kids go? Will I have to consider homeschooling? Will we have to move to another district?

-- It is unknown if the Disney lay off and cuts will affect my husbands department. They are consolidating jobs and basing a lot of the upper management in CA. Will we have to go to CA to keep his job with the company he has dedicated his blood , sweat and tears to for years? Will he be "let go" to find other employment? Will we have to move?

--It is the unknown of being financially stable enough to pay for emergencies that may arise. Will we be able to pay if the A/C breaks down? Will we be able to pay if one of the vehicles need major repairs? If we can't pay... can we make it on one car?

I can sit here all day and let the enemy fill my head with what if and the unknown. One truth is clear to me today and I hear it loud and clear... "You silly girl, I am in control." Not coporate America, not the bail out, not Obama, and not you. Like the old hymn I used to sing in church:

Because He lives,

I can face tomorrow,

Because He lives,

all fear is gone;

Because I know He holds the future,

And life is worth the living,

Just because He lives!

Thank you GOD, that I am NOT in control!
I will continue making cuts, clipping coupons, shopping wisely, save what we can, and pray without ceasing!

Today, I chose to enjoy my day for this is the day that they Lord has made!

    I know that all these things could overwhelm us if we didn't have the loving arms of Christ to rest in.
    Big hugs my friend.

    this is such a tough time and we have to hope that things will settle down soon, although you know it will get worse before it gets better!
