We have realized over the years that we collect a lot of ornaments and stuff to adorn our Christmas tree with. Through out our courtship, my hubby and I would get each other an ornament for every Christmas to get a good start on our tree for after we got married. We continued that after our marriage as well. We also got ornaments from our respective families from our childhoods. Then came the kids and their ornaments x three! So now that we are in a home that allows us to... we have put up two Christmas trees for the past 5 years! One in the family room which we decorate "whimsical" with colored lights and all the kids' ornaments (homemade, gift ornaments etc.) ....
...and the other one in the living room in the front window with clear/white lights that we put all the "adult" ornaments on! This enables everyone to have all our most loved ornaments on our trees and not miss out on seeing them each year! Even though we have two trees , we still have to rotate our ornaments out every year. We have so many memories. (we tried to buy ornaments that meant something from that particular year! Each one has a story!)
Do you have more than one tree? How do you handle all your ornaments?
Happy decorating!!
Ornaments are a combination of gifts, handmade and ones that I've purchased on sale from Micheal's.
Yours are so pretty, both of them!
By the way, our tree is decorated in silver, white and purple. So our "special" ornaments stick out a lot too!
I'm new to W.Wed. just jumping around looking at all the great pictures. Feel free to check mine out... I am also having a fun give-a-way.
We have a lot of ornaments too. We give our girls new ones each year and have been doing this since they were little. Pretty soon I'll have to start buying myself some because when they go off on their own, I'm sure they will take theirs with them and my tree will be bare..LOL.
Have a great weekend!
Your trees are beautiful! We have one big tree and four little trees.
The most special part of putting up those trees is breaking out all the ornaments...lots of ooh's and ahh's and giggles and 'remember' this one and that one! Truly special ornaments!
Thanks for sharing your trees with us Kelly....loved 'em!
Hugs to you today!
