We have realized over the years that we collect a lot of ornaments and stuff to adorn our Christmas tree with. Through out our courtship, my hubby and I would get each other an ornament for every Christmas to get a good start on our tree for after we got married. We continued that after our marriage as well. We also got ornaments from our respective families from our childhoods. Then came the kids and their ornaments x three! So now that we are in a home that allows us to... we have put up two Christmas trees for the past 5 years! One in the family room which we decorate "whimsical" with colored lights and all the kids' ornaments (homemade, gift ornaments etc.) ....

...and the other one in the living room in the front window with clear/white lights that we put all the "adult" ornaments on! This enables everyone to have all our most loved ornaments on our trees and not miss out on seeing them each year! Even though we have two trees , we still have to rotate our ornaments out every year. We have so many memories. (we tried to buy ornaments that meant something from that particular year! Each one has a story!)
Do you have more than one tree? How do you handle all your ornaments?
Happy decorating!!

Yes, we have a few Christmas trees, in our home and one in our store.
Ornaments are a combination of gifts, handmade and ones that I've purchased on sale from Micheal's.

What a great idea. We know this guy who has so many trees in his big house that he has a tree viewing party for all his family and friends...like an open house. Each tree has a different theme and meaning. It is just beautiful.
Yours are so pretty, both of them!

My kids each have their own 4 ft fake trees in their rooms. They LOVE it! I think it is one of their favorite parts of Christmas.. Decorating it all by themselves!

We haven't been in the same country most of the time, so we only have a few "special" ornaments. 3 that stick out in my head are our 2005 "First Christmas" one for when she got married... And our "First Christmas TOGETHER" one from last year, since it finally seemed like we were married, since it wasn't just a visit home from Japan for him.. and our stork with a baby one I bought last year b/c I was pregnant. I love them all, and we will be getting one for this year for us as a couple and one for Leala. Plus I ordered an ornament with Leala's picture on it and "2008" from my shop. I love it all!

By the way, our tree is decorated in silver, white and purple. So our "special" ornaments stick out a lot too!

Aww, ok, cool. Yeah, Leala was born February 2nd, so now too much after yours! How cool! I love having friends with babies around Leala's age. :)

That is so cool. We don't have room to have more than 1 tree, but all of the ornaments on the tree are very special to us in one way or another,no gerenic on our tree! Your trees look beautiful! What fun

I love the idea of two trees. The more the merrier.

I'm new to W.Wed. just jumping around looking at all the great pictures. Feel free to check mine out... I am also having a fun give-a-way.

    Two trees, how fun!
We have a lot of ornaments too. We give our girls new ones each year and have been doing this since they were little. Pretty soon I'll have to start buying myself some because when they go off on their own, I'm sure they will take theirs with them and my tree will be bare..LOL.

    Have a great weekend!

    Kelly,

Your trees are beautiful! We have one big tree and four little trees.

The most special part of putting up those trees is breaking out all the ornaments...lots of ooh's and ahh's and giggles and 'remember' this one and that one! Truly special ornaments!

Thanks for sharing your trees with us Kelly....loved 'em!

    Hugs to you today!

Our house is a little to tight for 2 trees. We actually used to put a tiny tree in Annalise's room that had her ornaments on it. Well, now, we are ditching all the fancy store bought ornaments and replacing them with all homemade ornaments! And Jarrett has always been "whimsical" with colored lights. Each year, I always asked if we can have white lights. He always answers with..."Well, if you hate Christmas you can." So, colored lights it is!
